Folk group Gaudeamus was created in 1949. The group presents folk music, dances and traditions from Bohemian regions in both traditional and stylized ways. A typical feature of the group is that it makes an organic whole where music does not serve just as an accompaniment but also as an integral part of the performance.
The group has participated in various international festivals in Slovakia, Poland, Turkey, Portugal, United Kingdom, Lithuania, Hungary, Germany, France, Italy, and Czech Republic.
