Children's folk ensemble "Grbarčieta" was founded in 1987 in Devínska Nová Ves. It is a representative of Croatian culture in Slovakia and wearing the traditions of our ancestors who began to settle in that region in the 16th century, retreating before the Turks.
The name of the file "Grbarčieta" originated from the fact that the school, in which it was founded, is located in a part of the village called Grba. The initiator of his birth was still a high school pupil and now an educator at this elementary school in Devínska Nová Ves Nikoleta Griezlová-Krajčírová.
For the time being, the ensemble has performed a number of performances at home abroad – Austria, Hungary, Italy, Croatia, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina – where he represented a minority of Croatians living in Slovakia. He has received several for this activity praise, awards, and thank you letters from event organizers.
In 1999, the ensemble recorded a beautiful audiocassette at Bratislava Radio in Bratislava melodic songs and Christmas trolls in the Croatian language.
In 2009, the band released a CD with the best songs and songs from their repertoire.
At present, there are 40 members aged between 5 and 20 who are split into three age bracket.
